The Challenges
Medallion was selected
to supply instrument gage clusters to one of the world’s
premier ATV manufacturers with stringent quality requirements.
As this part is readily visible to all riders and prospective
buyers, the quality of the lens reflects directly on
the ATV manufacturer and Medallion. Medallion’s
challenge was to find a supplier that could perform
all the following:
- Design and build a plastic injection mold that
could reliably produce this high volume part
- Perform the injection molding of this optical lens
- Provide both abrasion resistant coating and anti-fog
coatings
